Jacir Palace

You will not get bored while staring and meditating for hours on the landmarks, a masterpiece that stops you as others whenever you pass on Al-Quds Al-Khalil Street in the city of Bethlehem, there lies the Jacir Palace Hotel as a historical landmark whose beauty captures the hearts of visitors before their eyes. At the beginning of the last century, in the city known in Syriac as “the House of Bread”, the frittata (bread and meat) was the most important meal prepared in the palace, and its owner, Suleiman Yusef Jacir, offered it to the city’s residents and visitors.

From the outside, the hotel looks like a fortified castle topped with stalactites, geometric angles and huge columns. Its main façade is decorated with inscriptions of a Quranic verse and emblems of different religions, and its beauty is enhanced by its naturally colored sedimentary stones. The palace consists of three floors, the area of each floor is 800 square meters. Jacir Palace is an architectural masterpiece by all standards. The British used Jacir Palace in 1940 as a prison; In 1950 it was converted to a private school; After the year 2000 AD, it became a hotel that won the award for the best historical hotel for 2017.
